Name that cardboard cutout...

That's right...Willie from Duck Dynasty!  The boys acted like they'd spotted a celebrity when they saw the cardboard cutout of Willie in the Wal-Mart vision center!  They had me take a picture and text it to Mike.

"I'm gonna be a Power Ranger when I grow up!"

This morning Barrett decided that instead of being a Texas Rangers baseball player when he grows up...he wants to be a Power Ranger.  I told him that Power Rangers are actors.  I don't think he understands what that means.  I tried to explain to him as in someone named John Smith plays Jayden the red Power Ranger...but that after they finish filming him, he goes home to a normal house.  I don't think he believes me.  Here's a bit of our conversation this morning:

Momma: The actors probaby live in Hollywood and that's where they film the Power Rangers shows.
barrett: Well then I guess I'll move to Hollywood.
M: But I thought you wanted to live next door to Brody when you grow up?
b: But we don't have any gap sensors here!
M: What's a gap sensor?
b: It's what tells you if a nylock (bad guy) is coming.
M: Maybe you can buy one somewhere.
b: I don't think so.  I've never seen them buy one.
M: Maybe you should ask Camden.  He got samuraizers somewhere. (Camden....the blame for this new obsession!...had a Power Rangers birthday party.  He went to a bunch of AT&T stores with his mom and got old display phones to pass out to the kids at the party.  These are their samuraizers!)
b: Those aren't REAL samuraizers!  Those are just toys.
M:  Oh.  Well I'm sure you'll get a real one when you're a real Power Ranger.
b:  But how will I train?  The real Power Rangers have been training since they were little kids!  They train with wooden swords.  I don't have a wooden sword!
M:  You can use some of the bamboo at Daddy Steve & Namaw's house.
b:  That's not a wooden sword!
M:  They make some floors that look like wooden floors out of bamboo...so I'm sure the bamboo would work as a wooden sword.
b:  Well...I'll have to add and handle too it...and I'll have to train every day.  I know what they do to train.  What color will I be?  There's already a red, yellow, blue, pink, gold, and green.  Maybe I can be an orange Power Ranger?
M: That would work.  You already have a lot of orange from your Marlins gear.
b: But what will my power be?  The fire smasher is awesome...but Jayden already has fire smasher.
M:  You'll probably have your own power.
b:  Ok.  You know I'll still come visit you when I live in Hollywood as Power Ranger....but I guess that's only if I decide I don't want to be a Texas Rangers baseball player.

I'm so glad our kids dream big!  lol!

Baseball Buddies

Baseball Sister

Brianna slept bundled up in the carseat/stroller or in someone's arms through the majority of Brody's baseball tournament this weekend.  She was wearing her fan gear though (even if you couldn't see it because of the blankets).  The headband Teri Anderson made her matched perfectly!!

Baseball weather?!?

It may have been cold outside tonight...but that didn't stop our family from coming out to watch Brody's baseball game!  Daddy Steve, Namaw, Caleb, Audria, Axton, & Archer all joined us as freezing fans.

Can't get enough!

Don't mess with these two!

Go Go Power Rangers!

Barrett has become obsessed with Power Rangers ever since Camden's birthday party. You can imagine how excited he was this morning when he remembered that Nate had Power Rangers costumes at his house!

1st one in the pool!

Brody was the first one to jump in the pool this year! He kept talking about it and talking about it and finally I said, "I'll give you a dollar if you'll jump in and swim to get the football!" It only took him a few minutes of thinking about it and then he was in!
I cracked up when I picked up my phone later and found this video that Brody made.  For some reason it reminds me of Kevin on Home Alone.

So Proud!

Mike and I were so proud to read this report on the back of Brody's report card!

One of these things is not like the other...

Can you tell what the one difference is between the two pictures below?

1st Lunch at School

We braved the germs of the school cafeteria today to take lunch to Brody. He was super excited to show off his little sister (and eat Chick-fil-a!!)

Big Brother

Every since we found out about Brianna, Barrett has been over the moon excited about being a big brother!  He also made sure that we knew that he would really like to have a t-shirt that told the world that he's a big brother.

Well...for the past week, Barrett has been rushing to the mailbox every day to see if the Big Brother shirt I ordered him has arrived yet. He's comes back to the house with a dejected look on his face every day! I think I should've paid for the faster shipping. The 8-10 business days I chose (the cheapest) means it may not make it here until after Spring Break. He didn't think he'd make it having to wait that long! So today I went to Children's Place and found this shirt:

Now he's happy!

Texas Sized

Not sure she's on board with the "Texas sized" bows yet.

Look who came to visit!

Megan had a few hours to kill before her flight left for Hawaii with her family, so she brought Sullivan over to meet Brianna...and she brought me a venti macchiato!  Juli Beth met her at my house and we had a fun couple hours catching up and playing with the babies!

Now that's a lotta doodie!!

First bike ride

This morning Brody really wanted to ride bikes to school. It was a nice day, so Barrett agreed to ride his bike and I strapped Bri in her carseat and strapped it into the bike trailer! She slept the entire ride.

When my barista's away...

My barista (Mike) had to go to Houston on business this week.  That means I get to do the late night, middle of the night, and early morning feedings for Brianna.  I don't think anyone would fault me for getting a Venti this morning.

Brianna's 1st Sunday at church

We've never been ones to hibernate when a new baby comes home.  If you've read our blog for a long time, you'll remember that we were shopping in town (Lowes, Target, Taco Bueno, etc) when Brody was just 3 days old.  With Barrett, we stopped at Taco Bueno on the way home from the hospital to show him off to friends and family.  Mike and I were up and getting dressed to go to church last Sunday (the first Sunday Brianna was home with us) when we discovered that Barrett had gotten sick in the middle of the night.  He had thrown up in bed (the one he was sharing with Brody....ewwwwww!!!) and then he'd just moved to the guest bed and never came and told us!  That meant that Brody was sleeping (ugh...it's gross just typing this!!!) in a bed with throw up.  Disgusting!!!  Needless to say, we didn't go to church.  We had no idea if it was something he ate or if it was a stomach bug...and we didn't want to pass it around church!

So today was Brianna's first Sunday at church.  She slept all through service and all through the Kindergarten class we teach until it was time to eat.  Mike gave her a bottle as I wrapped up class and then it was time to head home.  She did great!  Everyone talked about how gorgeous she is and how she looks like a little doll because her features are so perfect!  Brody and Barrett were proud to show her off to all their friends.  The boys changed clothes too fast when we got home...but here's a picture of Brianna after church this morning.
